There is no debate! It's about GOD...

In the never ending debate over Catholic versus Protestant, it is not about religion it is about God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit - the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; His Son, Jesus Christ; and The Divine Counselor, the Holy Spirit. It is about a personal relationship with God, not a relegious sect. It is about His Word found in the Bible. It is about faith that if we do surrender to Christ, he will indeed lead us on the path of Truth. For confidence can be found in no man, but in God alone. That is called faith in God!

"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him." (Jeremiah 17:7, NIV)

"Why does God want us to see the frailty of other men? The answer is in Psalm 118:8: "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." We must all learn this lesson sooner or later, but it comes hard. We want to find at least one other person we can totally trust and say, " I will believe anything you say." As soon as we begin to do that we are setting ourselves up for the greatest hurt of our lives! God shows us the frailty of other men so that we will not trust the best of men too much." Expert from God Meant It For Good, by R.T Wendell.

If indeed, we trust Christ to lead us on the path of truth, their would be no need to debate who was right and who was wrong - Christ, Himself, will take us through his "School of Prayer". All we need do is:

7)"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8)For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. ( Matthew 6:7-8, NIV)

So just like both Peter and Paul, at one point they must have asked themselves, "Where is my faith?" Is it in a religion that I have followed all my life, along with family and friends. It has its set of rules, regulations and traditions that I have come to follow, it makes me comfortable and feel secure. Or do I step out of the boat and follow this man called Jesus Christ, what he says, what he teaches, - do I put my faith in Him?
